DWET, branded as 106.7 Dream FM, is a music FM radio station owned and operated by the Associated Broadcasting Company, in Mega Manila, Laoag City, Metro Davao and General Santos City. Its studios and transmitter are located in Novaliches, Quezon City.

History

Before DWET became Dream FM in 2004, it was known as The Big Mix Kool 106 from 1992-1999 & relaunched from 2002-2004. Kool 106 was launched several weeks before ABC 5 (now TV5) was launched. Kool 106 was a high-rating pop music station that rivaled other radio stations. One of their programs was "106 Best Songs of the Year" was the only year-end countdown that plays all the best hits within the year, unlike other radio stations of that time that played only the top 20 songs. Between 1999 & 2001 it became 106.7 Kool, that plays mostly foreign song especially R&B with a very few OPM hits. In 2001, the station went off the air for one month and completely changed its format. It became known as Ritmo Latino RIO 106.7, the first radio station in the country that played Latin music. The breakthrough format lasted for barely one year and reformatted as Kool 106.
