Daegu World Cup Stadium (Blue Arc) is a sports stadium located in Daegu, South Korea.

History

Construction was completed in May of 2001 at a cost of 265,000,000 USD. It was used as a football venue for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and is the home stadium for Daegu FC of the Korea Professional Soccer League (K-League). It was the main stadium for the 2003 summer universiade and will also host the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics.

Daegu World Cup Stadium hosts the Daegu Marathon annually in April of each year.

Daegu World Cup Stadium has seating for 65,754 people, and parking for 3550 cars. It's located 20 minutes by car from Daegu Airport (approximately 11 km). It employs a membrane construction.
