Daegu World Cup Stadium (Blue Arc) is a sports stadium located in Daegu , South Korea .
History
Construction was completed in May of 2001 at a cost of 265,000,000 USD . It was used as a football venue for the 2002 FIFA World Cup , and is the home stadium for Daegu FC of the Korea Professional Soccer League (K-League ). It was the main stadium for the 2003 summer universiade and will also host the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics .
