Haijima Station (æ‹å³¶é§… Haijima-eki?) is a railway station in Tokyo, Japan. It serves passengers on the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) ÅŒme, Itsukaichi and HachikÅ Lines and the Seibu Haijima Line. Located in the city of Akishima, at the boundary with neighboring Fussa, the station is owned by JR East and Seibu Railway. It has four platforms and seven tracks.

Lines

Haijima is a major stop on the ÅŒme Line between ÅŒme Station and Tachikawa Station. Through service is available to Tokyo Station. Haijima is a station stop for the ÅŒme Liner.

Nominally a terminus of the Itsukaichi Line, Haijima has many through trains going from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station to Tachikawa Station.

Trains on the HachikÅ Line connect Haijima to HachiÅji Station and Komagawa Station. Through service is available on the Kawagoe Line.

Haijima is a terminus of the Seibu Haijima Line. Service is available via the Seibu Shinjuku Line to Seibu Shinjuku Station.

Station layout

The JR East side of the station consists of three island platforms serving six tracks. The Seibu side consists of one island platform serving two tracks (numbers 6 and 7).[1]

History

The station opened on 19 November 1894.[2]
