WFAX is a religious formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Falls Church, Virginia , United States , serving Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Area. WFAX is owned and operated by Newcomb Broadcasting Corporation.
History
WFAX was founded and started by Lamar and Genevieve Newcomb. In its early days, WFAX was a Jazz/Swing station, with a bit of country and a couple of teen shows mixed in. In the 1950s, WFAX carried the minimum allowed religious programming. However, in the 1960s, the station broadcast regular Christian programming, and has done so to this day.
