WXTC is an AM radio station serving the Charleston market area with a Classic Soul format. This station operates on AM frequency 1390 kHz and is under ownership of APEX Broadcasting. Gospel music is played on weekends.

History

WCSC is the first radio station in Charleston as well as the second oldest in the state of South Carolina. It was started out by Fred Jordan and Lewis Burk on May 14th, 1930.

WCSC was a top 40 station. The current call letters were moved from the station that is now WSUY.

WXTC was "Heaven 1390" with an gospel format until the end of 2008.
