The Amazing Race 14 will be the fourteenth installment of the six-time Emmy Award winning reality television show The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 14 will feature several teams of two, with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world. The series will premiere on February 15, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. It will air on Sunday nights.[2]
ProductionLocationsAccording to a TV Guide interview, Bertram van Munster, the executive producer of the show, revealed that the countries of the People's Republic of China and Russia will be visited as he states that the racers in this season will be "suffering through blizzards in Central Siberia" and will be involved with "Olympic-themed challenges in Beijing".[3] Furthermore, he also promised that this season will feature "less airports".[3] CastApplications were due on May 28, 2008. Semi-finalist interviews were held sometime in June 2008 and the final casting interviews were held in Los Angeles around late June or early July 2008. Scouting for locations was performed during August.[4] Filming is expected to have occured during November 2008. Bertram van Munster, in the TV Guide interview, revealed that this season will feature the American version's "first-ever deaf contestant".[3] References
